India To Reduce Number Of State-Owned Banks From 12 To 5: Report

    keep writing, beautiful writing

1 Thanks for helping all the bank customers in need of help.
2 Even a bank chaukidaara (almost always) standing nearby such machines are capable of helping the people who are not capable of alertly operating such machines (due to some sickness or old age etc.). All bank branches should encourage their chaukidaara type employees to extend a helping hand to their needy customers.

Dr. Aparna ji, another excellent creative article from you, giving us a deep view into the complex threads that make up India today through one anecdote. One way of bringing a philosophical perspective to such scenes in contemporary India is that there are four epochs co-existing and interacting at the same time in the country: forest communities (VanavAsis – I would include fishing communities along the long western and eastern coasts of India in this), agriculture based communities (made up of rural village communities), industrialized urban communities and mostly metro based digital communities. In your article I notice you bring forth the interaction between the metro based digital community (such as yourself). the structured industrial community (the bureaucratic procedures followed by the bank staff is from the industrial era) and migrants from rural and forest communities who seem to be at a loss on navigating modern industrial and digital paradigm based tools which they are made to depend upon. The protocols used within each of these communities and the protocols for inter-operability between these communities are diverse and not well understood. We muddle through and in the process of muddling through we experience the frustrations and tensions that you focus on in this snapshot of an article. I also loved the awe and wonder with which you are noticing the world as a child, in your photo with your dear father.
